GDS System

Overview of the scheme:

The system is based on an open system architecture and is provided with system equipment (platforms) of other brands to realize the integration and information exchange through industrial standard communications, platforms and protocols, including MODBUS, TCP/IP and OPC.

The system consists of the combustible/toxic gas detectors installed on the site and the control unit, data acquisition module and workstation installed in the control room. Through the data acquisition module, the system will implement the data acquisition of the field detectors, and through the communication module, it will complete the communication between the operator station or the third-party system (equipment), receive relevant information and transfer the real-time data.

The combustible/toxic gas detector is used to detect various gases on the production site and convert the collected gas concentration into an analog signal. The data acquisition module will transmit the collected signal to the GDS control unit through the serial communication. The GDS control unit will compare the detected values with their respective upper/lower alarm limits. When the concentration detected by a certain detector exceeds the upper limit or is lower than the lower limit, the GDS control unit will output the alarm signal via the DO module to activate the audible & visible alarm and switch on or off the related equipment.

The operators can monitor all detection points in the plant in real time through the touch screen of the industrial computer, operator station and engineer station or any other human-machine interaction interface, mainly including the gas concentration value, upper alarm limit, real-time curve and historical data. When any alarm is given, it can also be silenced and responded through the industrial computer.

Through the GDS system (gas detection and alarm system), the system can achieve the real-time monitoring, early warning processing, remote control as well as equipment management and integration, and can also realize the real-time monitoring of dangerous gas leakage in the plant and intelligent judgment of alarms; it supports audible & visible alarms, video linkage alarm and many other kinds of alarm effects. It can effectively prevent the occurrence of safety accidents in the enterprises, realize the control and management of gas leakage in the production process, and ensure the work safety of the enterprise.
