The fire and gas system is a safety management system for fire and gas detection, which can gather the detection signal of fire button, smoke, fire, combustible gas and poisonous gas on the site of chemical plant and control the alarm lamp, alarm bell, deluge valve, foam vale and fresh air inlet of air conditioning system through software logical output.

The fire and gas system can conduct continuous online monitoring on various field equipment and timely find fire and potential fire hazard and take decisive measures to control the occurrence and propagation of fire so as to achieve the purpose of protecting personnel and facility. Normally, the fire and gas system is connected with the broadcasting system which can immediately start fire alarm in the event of fire to activate the fire emergency plan of the platform. The emergency command staff can, through the fire and gas system workstation or DCS interface, determine the place of fire to guide search team and firefighting team to go to the site for fire extinguishing as soon as possible. In the meantime, the fire and gas system is often connected with the emergent shutoff system which can shut off the system in the event of fire based on the shutoff command from the fire and gas system to ensure that the accident can be controlled.
