With the popularity of private car and underground garage, the poisoning incident caused by carbon monoxide (CO) occurs frequently. The underground garage CO is mainly sourced from car engine. In case of engine idling, the tail gas will contain a large amount of CO due to incomplete combustion of gasoline. The underground garage is a closed space where there are many vehicles and the tail gas is difficult to be discharged out, so the underground garage is always filled with acrid smell, impairing physical health and even endangering personal safety.
In recent years, the national requirement on the underground garage CO concentration monitoring has been increasingly stringent, the underground garage and parking lot shall be provided with ventilation system for replacement of fresh air, and the underground garage CO content shall be lower than 25ppm for long term and not higher than 50ppm for short term.
Composition of solutions
Intersense underground garage CO monitoring and alarm system is designed to include the gas detector for the underground garage of different area and different region, used to detect the CO concentration in the underground garage. The system is a platform composed of underground garage LAN, software system, serial server, gas controller, gas detector and fan. The gas detector is wired to the controller which can display the concentration of each monitoring point that it can automatically give an alarm and start exhaust system for replacement when the ambient CO concentration exceeds preset alarm value.
Through the online monitoring on underground garage, the system can accurately measure the CO in underground garage and take effectively measures to reduce the accumulation of CO in underground garage so as to mitigate the damage of CO to physical health. When the CO gas is found by gas detector, the gas controller will give an alarm signal and start fan, and the serial server will receive the alarm signal from the controller and transmit it to software system. Upon receipt of the alarm signal, the software system will transmit the alarm information and data to safety supervision bureau and dispatching and command center via the underground garage LAN and the safety supervision bureau will further send the CO monitoring information to a mobile platform in the form of short message via network. The dispatching and command center can monitor the site condition of underground garage in a real-time manner and timely make guidance and prevention. The software system can display the monitoring state of different underground garages and the monitoring personnel can also understand the equipment operating state in underground garage through monitoring equipment.
